Hey I know this is a long post and also asking for donations (two! strikes!) but seriously, please take a minute to consider donating, since-

• At least most of the time, the fund gets the bond back after posting it, so one donation can be reused multiple times. A small donation can have a much bigger cumulative effect than it might appear at first.
  
  
• Some of these might ask for you to cover transaction fees or administration but if you’re concerned about efficiency, donating directly to a bond fund guarantees the funds directly help those in need of being released.
  
  
• “Isn’t this an artificially imposed barrier, aren’t we paying off a ransom, negotiating when we shouldn’t?” Sure are, unless you write off your donation so the government essentially charges itself. The Freedom for Immigrants fund qualifies for that, check with any others you donate to.
  

So in conclusion please kick some bucks these folks’ way if you can.
