You know, you could ask us this question a million times over but you will always get the same answer. We have explained how pansexuality was created specifically to be a more “inclusive” version of bisexuality. We have explained how the popularization of the pansexual label has encouraged bi erasure and biphobia over the years. We have explained that many bisexuals are often forced into identifying with the pansexual label to avoid scrutiny from people that are supposed to be supportive of us. We have explained how many pansexuals talk over us every single time. We have explained how pansexuals keep trying to define bisexuality for us. We have explained how pansexuals create harmful distinctions from bisexuals to distinguish themselves from us.

THAT’S why we don’t like you.

Also, ‘panphobia’ is not what you think it means. Using it in this way is just appropriation.

To add onto this: Claiming that pansexuals somehow face a completely different form of oppression than bisexuals is completely false and shows that people who claim the existence of ‘panphobia’ know nothing about what actual oppression is. 

Bisexuals and pansexuals experience two types of oppression; biphobia (oppression of people not exclusively attracted to one gender) and homophobia (oppression of people attracted to the same gender). Why? Because pansexuality only really exists in the context of bisexuality, meaning that biologically you will always boil down to a bisexual since feeling attraction ‘regardless of gender’ is just bisexuality without a preference. Pansexuality is a philosophy rather than a sexual orientation, and should be seen as such; nobody is ‘born’ a pansexual, that is completely impossible. You CHOOSE to identify as pansexual, but you will always have been born a bisexual. That’s just how it is.
